The Algonquin Harvest Market is a fundraising event put together by the members of the Algonquin Rotary Club. Funds are raise though vendor booth registration, sponsorships, and sales/donations made at the Algonquin Rotary Club booth the day of the event.

The proceeds from this event go towards the Algonquin Rotary Clubs projects and efforts to give back to the community and world as a whole.

The History of the Algonquin Harvest Market

The Algonquin Rotary Club wanted to put together a fundraiser that was for the community that would be fun, relaxing, and family friendly. After brainstorming many ideas and pinpointing a void in the area, we unanimously decided to put on a one day Farmers Market and Craft Fair. The market would address the need of a farmers market in Algonquin, be located downtown where past events, such as Algonquin Founders Days, use to be held.

Our first Algonquin Harvest Market was held on September 30th, 2017 in Riverfront Park. A beautiful location where we lined the Fox River with a variety of crafters, artisans, and specialty food vendors, along with live music, entertainment and activities for kids and families. It was a great success for our first event and decided to do the same thing in 2018!

By 2019, road construction began on Harrison Street and the event was moved to Towne Park. This was another great location where we had more room and a playground for kids to play.

In 2021, we moved the event to the street! We worked closely with the Village and downtown businesses, where we closed a large section of Main Street where we filled it with vendors, entertainment, a kids corner and a great number of attendees.

Last year was another fun event held on the streets of downtown Algonquin. We had more vendors, more music, and we were able to allow the purchasing of adult beverages to enjoy while walking the market!
